Safe & Sound.

Well we made it home from our beautiful Washington vacation tonight! After a long day of travel we are both pooped and to top it off Andrew was sick the ENTIRE trip. It started Saturday morning when we woke up and only progressed; today was his worse day yet so we're praying after a night of rest he can be on the mend in the near future. It's a good thing we had no agenda on this trip so he could take it easy. Our days consisted of sleeping in, reading books, looking through photo albums and watching old home videos (he was ready to run FAR away from me after that!) ;)

We were even SO lucky to have awesome seats on our flights without any passengers next to us. What a convenience for us to stretch out and enjoy some snoozing/reading/movie watching! :D
Here are some pictures of what we experienced:

All in all, the trip was such a blessing. We are so grateful Grandma and Grandpa opened their home to us and were welcoming with open arms. Now, back to reality! :)

God works in such amazing ways by blessing each and every one of us with great friends and family. Andrew and I feel beyond grateful to have so many of those around us.

Last night we had Brooke and Cordale over for dinner with baby Peyton and are so excited they've asked us to be Godparents! WOW! What a beautiful thing that friends can be so trusting of each other to make sure their child's life is walked with people who will be a positive influence and help guide them with their religious upbringing.

Andrew and I feel so fortunate that Brooke and Cordale feel they can have us in their lives to make sure they are accountable with bringing Peyton up in a Christian home as well as being people who can care for her when they may need a break. We are so excited to share this journey with their family and can't wait for her Dedication!

Godparents: Often viewed simply as an honorary title, its value however can be greatly enhanced by defining how this role will be carried out. Many godparents assume responsibility to provide cards and gifts of a Christian nature for the child on birthdays and holidays. Some periodically ask the parents how they are doing in training their child. Still others have arranged that in the event of the parents' unexpected death, the godparents will take the child into their home.

Peyton; Aunt Aubrey and Uncle Andrew will do everything in our power to make sure you're loved, supported, encouraged and guided throughout a Christian upbringing. You've brought light into your mommy and daddy's world as well as so many other people around you! Those eyes are beautiful and smile is infectious; even Brutus can't get enough of you! We all look forward to watching you grow and develop into a beautiful woman of Christ! We love you unconditionally, Peyton Renae!

Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
